SEAFOOD

Seafood is a speciality of the west coast, with Tarbert being one of the few registered herring ports across Scotland. The hotels and restaurants are famed for selling fresh seafood, and there is a certain skill to preparing and cooking it.

Whilst its not a huge seafood market like Billingsgate, there is seafood available through stalls selling it, available from hotels and restuarants to eat, and you can even touch and see live seafood and shellfish such as crabs, lobsters and octopus up close in the quayside exhibition. Its a great opportunity.

For those who love seafood of course, Nick Nairn will be cooking some live for you, showing you how to prepare it and much more, additional supporting demonstrations by local chefs.

The whole theme of the event is seafood based, with seafood available to see and taste from almost every direction. We hope you enjoy our fantastic event.
