Tarbert Seafood Festival - Scotland's Only Remaining West Coast Seafood Festival, Loch Fyne, Argyll, PA29 6UD


Tarbert Seafood Festival is set around Tarbert's natural harbour, at the edge of Loch Fyne at the very north most tip of Kintyre. It is one of the area's main annual events held on the first full weekend in July (i.e. Saturday falls on 1st July or after).
Tarbert's harbour nestles just off of Loch Fyne, which offers the local fishing fleet access to some of the purist, healthiest and best tasting seafood in the UK and Europe.
This is definitely something to celebrate and promote. If you havnt been before to Tarbert or to the Seafood Festival we hope this website will give you a feel for what happens and encourage you to come and join in the fun.
NICK NAIRN COOKS LIVE ON SATURDAY 4th JULY - FREE ENTRY
Returning for the FIFTH consecutive year, top chef Nick Nairn is taking time away from television presenting and giving up his Saturday to entertain you with his superb cookery demonstrations on the working fish harbour quay here in Tarbert, Loch Fyne.
Cooking demonstrations featuring a selection of Argyll's top chef's and Nick Nairn are free to enter and begin at 2pm. Just head past the Loch Fyne Gallery and along the quay side and look for the fish market building.
CAR BOOT SALE / BOAT JUMBLE
SUNDAY 5th JULY - BOOK YOUR SPACE NOW!
Sunday 5th July will see the inaugural Seafood Festival sunday market and car boot sale, get rid of your unwanteds for only £7 per car, join a sunday market will stalls and listen to the live music free around this wonderful natural harbour all afternoon and let your kids run riot on the fair rides all weekend. Have a market stall? Tarbert Seafood Festival is ideal market promotion for your products and services, prices from only £25 for Saturday and £35 for two days, it is not only a fun packed weekend, you might be able to make a pound or two at the same time!

Sponsored Walk Raises Money For Tarbert Seafood Festival
Volunteers, members of staff from the local Co-op store, and two committee members donned suitable attire and rucksacks in an effort to raise money for this years event.
The 16 volunteers all walked from Skipness to Tarbert, covering 9.5 miles on Saturday 6th June starting at 11.15 am and then finishing by 4.15pm, with just two stops, including half an hour for lunch.
The weather was much better than expected and the walk was a real pleasure.
It is expected that around £500 - £600 will be raised towards this years event, the total figure will be announced as soon as it is all collected.
