Marking the official opening of the event, the crowning ceremony of the chosen Seafood Queen - a tradition of over 25 years - has been moved to the evening of Friday 3rd July.
The ceremony includes the Seafood Queen being brought across the harbour in the newly built Loch Fyne Skiff, and transported to Tarbert Castle where a battle reenactment and the crowning of this years Seafood Queen and Princesses will take place.
A lone piper will play at the Castle during the transporting of the Seafood Queen across the harbour which will be heard around the harbour. Take your photos down at the harbour side and then walk up to the castle to see the crowning.
The crowning ceremony provisional time is 7.00pm however the exact time is to be confirmed.
The above information is correct as of 27th May 2009 and any further changes will be made aware prior to the event.
